Default Category Value

I have an XML file and I’d like to assign a default category to each entry in the file. I don’t have anything in the XML to specify what category to use, so I can’t choose anything under the Category Field. The default category only works when a category field is chosen, so I was just wondering if it’d be possible to add a Default Category without having to choose a Category Field.

Bug: When mapping custom date field: A PHP Error was encountered (Undefined index: y)

When mapping a field to a custom field of type Date, the import succeeds, but when you edit the entry, following PHP error is displayed:

A PHP Error was encountered

Severity: Notice

Message: Undefined index: y

Filename: libraries/Localize.php

Line Number: 508

Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new channel Test
- Create a new custom field group: Test
- Add one field StartDate, with field type: Date
- Add this field group to the channel
- Create a csv-file, containing one line: “My first entry”,“2010-10-11”
- Use DataGrab to create a CSV import, for channel Test
- Map Title to Column 1
- Leave Date blank
- Map StartDate to Column 2
- Click “Do Import”
- Use Content -> Edit, and edit the newly created entry

Now the above error-message is displayed at the top.

Datagrab doesnt import data…..

I have a csv at http://www.exp.spectra-displays.co.uk/Products.csv

which I can open in a web browser, but whe I try to open it using datagrab, it doesn’t find the file!!

Also, can it not just be called Datagrab, ajw_datagrab istn desperately professional, baring in mind I just purchased it, so its not a freebie take-it-or-leave-it type of thing!

cron job path problem with ee template to call xmlgrab

Hi there,

I’m having trouble setting up a cron job on an ee template that calls the data for xmlgrab.
I’d like the cron job to refresh the page every minute.

Example of command is below.

Min H DM M DW Command
* * * * * /usr/bin/lynx -dump “http://mydomain.co.uk/myTemplates/myScript/”

The problem that i’m having is that the cron job is pointing to the virtualised directory within expression engine.

There isn’t an actual directory on my server called ‘myTemplates’, and as such the cron job cannot find the script with the template ‘myScript’ to run it.

The script within the template ‘myScript’ has to be within EE as it contains EE code.

I’m guessing thia is a pretty common situation and would appreciate some pointers.

date not being processed with feedgrab

I’ve got feedgrab working great except that the date isn’t being entered correctly.

my code is below and the atom feed is here:

I think the problem is that the feed has the time output twice using the same tag (published) and the first time it’s got this extra “T” in it. Is there a way to work around this?

Bug: remove of field mapping in saved import is not stored

When you configure a saved import, remove the mapping of a field (make field Value blank for a particular field), click “Do Import”, click “Update saved import”, click “Save”, the changes are not saved. When you configure the saved import again, the mapping of the field still exists.

/go page stops at “Fetching: url”

I recently installed this & ran through the tutorial on this site, but for some reason when I try to load the rss, it only reads


"Fetching: http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/31353077.rss"

and then nothing else appears.

I’m running ee 1.6.8. I downloaded the plugin yesterday, it’s installed properly and visible in my plugins directory.

My /go template has the following:

I’m planning on using it for wordpress & flickr as well, but I haven’t tried flickr yet since this isn’t working out.

Feature Request: provide mapping for URL Title

The URL Title is now derived automatically from the Title field. Please make it possible to overrule this, and to map some other field as URL Title.
