I’m interested in using Client Downloads to provide secure, member access to files stored outside the docroot of the webserver ... can I do this with your app?

Yes, just to confirm, you should be able to place the downloads folder outside the web root for extra security.

Could you tell me where Client Downloads stores the files, I’ve looked in the directory
I set up in the module and they aren’t in there.
