When I do an import of a csv the entries are all added/updated but I have issues with the images.

Using Datagrab 1.8

My images in the CSV are all http://brandnewbox.co.uk/images/uploads/imagename.jpg
The images are all in the folder and the filemanager has been synced.

When I view any entry that was added the image file field just shows a period “.” for the file name and no file.

I also get this error when editing an entry after it has been added via datagrab.

Is there really no support for this product?  Over a month and not a single reply from admin?  Is anyone out there?

Sorry for the delayed response - I must have missed the original post and was then away for a couple of weeks.

Can you email me a sample of the CSV file you are trying to import?

Thanks.

thanks for the update, no worries I didn’t get back to this for a couple weeks as well.  I synced the file folders again, deleting all the previous entries and ran the data import again.  Seems like it may have worked this time.

One issue I hope does not cause problems is I have a filename in the file field but not all image files exist yet.  Client is still putting together the images.  Will this be an issue when the files are eventually added to the upload folder?

OK - that’s good news! The File import is quite a new addition so I am still fixing occasional bugs.

It shouldn’t let you assign a missing file to a File field but if you use the

{filedir_n}image.png

format in your CSV I *think* it will avoid do any checks. (DataGrab won’t check and I don’t think EE will either.)

If the image exists everything is fine, what happens if the image field {filedir_n}image.png is in the csv and the image does not exits when I edit the entry I get the following errors
